Poem - Strings

God in heaven

holds

each person by

a string.

When you sin, you cut

the string.

Then God ties

it up again,

making a knot –

and thereby bringing

you

a little closer to Him.

Again

and

again

your sins cut the

string –

and with each

further knot God

keeps drawing you

closer and

closer

and closer.

  1. Quick Correction- It's Yancey. "C", not "S". He is a great writer, isn't he? Kieran's reading The Jesus I Never Knew also by him. Thanks for sharing it. Great opener to the blog!

  2. What do you mean? I did spell it with a "c".
Ha, I changed it. Thanks for the catch.
