Because we wouldn't want those poor animals to suffer because they are already in the world. It is the same reason the Prop 8 barely passed by the skin of it's teeth. We live in a state that is too liberal for it's own good and seems to despise religion more and more. I just can't believe that they are already trying to over turn prop 8.
