Have you heard of geocaching? It is a treasure hunt that happens all over the world. The treasures though can be ... surprising. Although we don't walk away with gold in your pockets, we have fun making memories traveling around looking for hidden items.
On a scale of 1-10, I think Rachel thinks geocaching is an 11!!! She first took me out geocaching a few days before Eliana was born.
So, you may be wondering how it works. Rachel's phone has a GPS system that locats geocaches. There are TONS of them in our city. You then walk to the coordinate and begin looking around. There is a clue given. Sometimes the items are small and hidden in weird places. Look carefully in Rachel's hand to see this item that was hidden inside the pole on the fence in the above picture.
Yep, a stuffed animal r-a-t was holding the log that you sign once you find the geocache. Some times there are also random trinkets inside. Rachel comes prepared with tiny random trinkets to trade out.
My favorite part is traveling around town finding new flowers or other things to take pictures of.
There was a magnetic mini geocache stuck to the green boxes.
Eliana enjoys being outside, so she likes geocaching too! She has now gone four times!!!

It's spelled geocache, or geocaching. Sorry, I couldn't let that one pass by :)
Thanks for the spelling help.
