It's my turn to add something to our blog:) Today I was able to go through a bunch of boxes from our bedroom. Our apartment continues to come along. I have plenty of time to work on it with Kyle working 12 hour shifts at the pistachio part of Paramount Farms in Lost Hills. Kyle came home on Wed., his first day at work, full of stories about the cool machines that detwig, sort by size, openness, and even the color of pistachios.
I have been keeping busy with running so far 2 mornings this week. I never ever claimed to be a runner, but I found, like Bahers say, that it helps them clear my mind and focus on God. Down town Clovis is very nice to walk, jog, slowly move through as I am sure it looks when I run:)
Today I bought 100 goldfish. Why you might ask. Our new church Copper Springs is having their carnival to mark the end of VBS. We needed the goldfish for a game. I got to work with some other girls sorting each fish into a zip lock bag. I found it rather fun, and I recommend it to anyone wanting to have something interesting to do.
We're so glad you came to see us! Please leave us a comment to let us know you came by.

We've Arrived
So we are in Clovis. We've taken about 11 hours to unpack so far. It is looking pretty good. We went looking for Winco yesterday and also found Costco in the same outting.
The Bahers came to town and joined us at the Fresno zoo. I like the giraffes. They had an exhibit of stingrays. We bought shrimp and fed them. You had to put your arms in the water with your elbows beneath the surface, hold the shrimp between your fingers, and let them suck it into their mouths. It was pretty gnarly. Pictures to follow soon.
We needed some time out so we called the Hayes. We crashed thier gaming party. The church interns are intown helping at Copper Springs' VBS. Candice has been suffering ever since VBS let out watching the three interns and Joe play shoot em up games. It is very funny to watch. I have never played Halo before so appearently I am not a real man. I stink at it because I can kill no one but I can run pretty well.
Luke just ran in and practically kicked down the door. He had no hands to knock because he was holding Tyson. Luke enters screaming, "I need a tub!" Cute little Tyson sprayed poop out his diaper and down his leg. We've got 10 people and 1 baby`in this small apartment. It is going to be an interesting afternoon.

Fresno Pacific
Registration day was this last week. When Tasha and I got out of the car we started to laugh at all the freshmen with their parents. I told her that she was to refer to me as son and I to her as mom for the rest of the day. She didn't go for it.
We opened with coffee and snacks. There was prayer and a very great speaker welcomed us. The parents stayed for parent orientation and I went with all the students. I was pretty chill all morning. I registered for classes, got my photo taken, visited the nurse, and then did lunch there in their cafeteria.
During lunch we spoke with a mom of an incoming freshman who sat with us at our table. It was so great and different to speak of God, and praying, and church. I am really going to love this.
This fall I will have 14 units and in the spring I will have 15 units. While registering I had to choose a PE class. I saw that there was a Self Defense class which I laughed at. The instructors asked what was going on and I asked, "Aren't you pacifists?" She told me it was blocking, no striking. Bummer, because I'd love to start sparring again.
While I waited to see the Financial Advisor I got to meet quite a few students. There were plenty of freshmen but there were also transfers which made me feel not so weird. This one guy got upity because his mom kept "walking off". I hope I wasn't so freshmen when I was a freshman.

Odd News - Bad Kitty!
Don’t fall asleep in Israel without spraying big cat repellant on you before you get into bed! Get a good look at the pictures!

There's an intruder in my bed ... a leopard!
ANAT BERESHOVSKY
A NEGEV resident woke up early on Monday morning to find an intruder in his bedroom.
A wild leopard had been chasing Arthur Damush's beloved cat around the house, and when the two animals entered his bedroom, Damush instinctively jumped out of his bed and caught the wild creature with his bare hands.
In the past two weeks residents of the area noticed that cats were slowly disappearing, and occasionally spotted the leopard sneaking between houses.
This time, however, the leopard decided to pay the Damush household a visit.
Raviv Shapira, head of the Israel Nature and Parks Authority's southern district, told Ynet: "Around 3am, a cat ran into the house, with the leopard chasing after him. The two animals lunged into the bedroom.
"The homeowner who was sleeping with his wife woke up and yelled: 'Leopard!', and at first thought he was seeing things. When the leopard used its teeth to grab the cat by its neck, the homeowner pounced on it and caught it with his hands."
Shapira added that this was the first time he had ever encountered a leopard entering a home.
After catching the animal, Damush told his wife to call their neighbour, Yossi Sinai, a Nature and Parks Authority inspector.
"The wife called me and she was very nervous and asked me to come over," Sinai said. "We arrived at the house, and saw Damush holding the leopard with his hands. We took over from that point. The fact that Damush was able to overpower the leopard is outstanding."
The leopard was taken for medical examination in order to determine if it had any diseases and to find out what caused it to get so close to the houses. A transmitter was fixed to the leopard in order to provide information on its whereabouts at all times.
The cat was lightly wounded and Damush, who was slightly scratched, was also taken for testing.

A man clad only in underwear and a T-shirt wrestled a wild leopard to the floor and pinned it for 20 minutes after the cat leapt through a window of his home and hopped into bed with his sleeping family.
"This kind of thing doesn't happen every day," said Arthur Du Mosch, 49, a nature guide. "I don't know why I did it. I wasn't thinking, I just acted."
Raviv Shapira, who heads the southern district of the Israel Nature and Parks Protection Authority, said half a dozen leopards had been seen recently near Mr Du Mosch's small kibbutz in the Negev desert in southern Israel, although they rarely threatened humans.
Mr Shapira said leopards living near humans were usually too old to hunt in the wild and often resorted to chasing domestic dogs and cats for food.
Mr Du Mosch's pet cat was in the bed with him at the time, along with his young daughter, who had been frightened by a mosquito in her own room.
Mr Shapira said the leopard was very weak when park rangers arrived. He said nature officials would probably release it back into the wild.
Mr Du Mosch said that as a nature guide he was familiar with animals and did his best to hold down the leopard without harming it.
He said he took it all in his stride, "but the kids were excited".

Israeli vetinary medical personnel perform tests on a leopard caught early morning as it entered a house in the Negev desert in southern Israel, during examinations at the Beit Dagan veterinarian hospital near Tel Aviv, Monday, May 28, 2007. Raviv Shapira, who heads the southern district of the Israel Nature and Parks Protection Authority, said a half-dozen of the leopards have been spotted near the small community of Sde Boker in the Negev desert in southern Israel, "but we have never heard of a leopard coming into a private home," he said. He said it was food, not curiosity, that lured the cat.

Coldstone
We went to Coldstone last night. Some teachers from Tasha's school were behind the counter serving us to rise funds. We had other teachers, parents, and students in line with us. One of the teachers came back to talk to us and told us that her daughter leaned over and asked her if I was Mrs. Guess' boyfriend or son. I guess husband wasn't even an option.
I used to work at Coldstone so I enjoy going in there. I remember singing for tips, making up a tip song, juggling syrups, and the little tricks of the trade. One of the ladies serving for the school was using the stone scraper to blend a brownie with icecream instead of using the spades. It is also hard to remember where each flavor is in the blast freezer. So Tasha's cake batter and brownie actually was a bananna and brownie which was very, very good. I got a PB&C shake. It is chocolate, peanutbutter, and milk. It was wonderful.

Praises
Tasha got a call for a second interview just hours after the first one. When she returned the next week they, instead of interviewing again, offered her a job.
I had annual performance review yesterday. It was a great review with lots of positives and desires expressed for me to advance higher within ProU.
Our applications and background checks went through with flying colors. Our move in date is set, the uhaul is reserved, and we look forward to an apartment without sticky walls and stairs.

Wednesday
I've decided my major and emphasis. Biblical and Religious Studies with an emphasis in Biblical Studies. I get giggles from my friends when I say that I am going to get a "BS in Bible". Say it out loud fast and then you might get it.
I met with Audry and Greg at the campus 4/19. I was able to ask them a bunch of questions about the major and the school in general. I was so excited I think I must have said "cool" at least 5 dozen times when I was talking with Audry. :P Greg is the main man with the "Signature of Authority", or so I am told. It looks like the major is pretty flexible so I am going to see about substituting classes or just taking more electives with missional emphasises.
I am unbelievably stoked about the classes. Concerning moving my excitment depends on which day you ask me. Ha. Keep us in your prayers with the move and jobs and leaving friends and family here in B-town. It is going to be a major adjustment but we know its the move God wants us to take. Plus the apartment will have a patio so I can get me a bbq. :)
