We want a pet

Tasha and I want a pet. We had a cat that came around our apartment but we haven't seen it in a month or so. We had named it Welfare. Our apartments charges a large nonrefundable fee for cats and dogs so we know we don't want either of those.

Here is what we came up with - newts.

FACTS (wikipedia)
Newts are not reptiles. They are amphibians. Amphibians are four legged vertebrates that can breath through their skin.
Newts release toxins through their skin which is their defence against predators. They are either aquadic or semi-aquadic. What is super cool is that "Newts have the ability to regenerate limbs, eyes, spinal cords, hearts, intestines, and upper and lower jaws."

Appearances (wikipedia)
1. In the novel Matilda by Roald Dahl, Lavender, Matilda's good friend, uses a newt to play a prank on the head teacher Miss Trunchbull.
2. The witches in Macbeth include "eye of newt" along with many other ingredients in a recipe for their potion.
3. In Monty Python and the Holy Grail a peasant claims that a suspected witch turned him into a newt, although admits that he "got better".

What are some good newt names? I am thinking of maybe getting three small newts, see if we are good newt parents, and then start a newt breeding farm. Okay, just joking about the breeding farm. Give us some name ideas though!

Doesn't photo 2 look like jello? My first name idea is "Fig". Fig-newt-on, get it? My second name idea is "Figburt". My third name idea is "Robert". We had a Sunday school teacher named Robert Newton. Can you come up with something better? Please do. :P

What about Jade? I know you like that name for a future daughter, but I don't for a child. However, it would be a cool name for a green newt:)

Kieran Baher says:

What about Gingrich? Newt...Gingrich...Speaker of the House...?...Oh well, some jokes you make just for you.

Rockne? Like Knute Rockne, legendary football player and coach?

Napoleon, Kip and Rico? Pedro?
Wyatt, Morgan and Virgil (Earp)?
Nacho, Esqueleto, and Encarnacion?
Frodo, Sam, and Bilbo?
Nemo, Marlin, and Dory?
